Scheduling
Afterschool Exploration classes are scheduled by semester. Session I (Fall 2026) Explorations will run September 8-October 9, 2026.
Club Times
Explorations run from 2:50–3:30 PM and 3:35–4:35 PM, except for Debate Club, which runs from 3:35–5:00 PM.
JK-SK Schedule
Explorations for JK1-SK students begin at varying times, either at 2:50 PM or 3:30 PM. If your child's class begins at 3:30 PM, your student is welcome to stay in aftercare at no additional cost until their class begins.
Cancellation Policy
By completing the Afterschool Exploration form, your family is held financially responsible for the full payment of the exploration class(es). Your child’s school account will be billed for all charges pertaining to the activities. We are unfortunately unable to provide a refund in the case that your child is absent from school. We encourage all families to please plan accordingly.
Modifying an Existing Reservation
All applications for Afterschool Exploration classes must be submitted by the deadline in order to participate. Cancellations and adjustments will not be accommodated following the close of registration.
Waitlist
Afterschool Explorations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If an Exploration has reached full enrollment, we encourage you to add your student to the waitlist through your CampBrain account. If a space becomes available, you will receive further communication confirming your student’s enrollment in the Exploration. Until you receive a confirmation email, your student has not been enrolled in the Exploration and should not plan to attend.
Pick up for Afterschool Explorations is located at the Hilbert Center.
- Pickup for clubs beginning at 2:50 PM is 3:35 PM.
- Pickup for clubs beginning at 3:35 PM is 4:35 PM.
- Pickup for Debate club is at 5:00 PM.
In the case of an emergency or if you are running late, please contact 219-629-1501. This number can receive both calls and texts. If someone other than yourself is picking up your student, please text or call the number above to make note.
Families Currently in Aftercare
Families registered for Aftercare will continue to be billed at the monthly rate of $200. Please note that Afterschool Explorations are not included in the Aftercare fee. All Afterschool Explorations are billed separately as an additional fee to the credit card on file in the CampBrain system.
Policy for Scheduled Days Off
If your club has a scheduled day off, your student may attend aftercare for free until 4:30 p.m. that day.
Sibling Rate
Students with a sibling already enrolled in Afterschool Explorations may stay in aftercare (complementary) until their sibling's club concludes. However, students who are not picked up on time will incur an additional fee for extended care services. Parents or guardians of students participating in After Care and/or Explorations are requested to pick up their children at the Hilbert Center Entrance. When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle, and provide your student's name and club affiliation.
