The Board will consider grant requests for SLU’s furthering Experiential Learning Opportunities. Park Tudor classes, clubs, and special interest groups overseen by a Park Tudor faculty or staff may apply for a grant if the SLU meets the following criteria:
- Meets the definition of Experiential Learning: the process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting.
- Requires funding related to SLU expenses.
- Receives written approval from the faculty/staff advisor prior to submission of the grant application.
- Give a 3 to 5-minute presentation in support of an application.
- Presentations will be heard either by the Board at large or its Grants Committee prior to an allocation, at a mutually agreeable time (e.g. during a school lunch period or at the Board’s monthly meeting).
- LS student applicants may choose to present to the Board or Grants Committee but are not required to do so.
