Park Tudor’s Chinese language students ushered in the Year of the Rabbit with a special Lunar New Year celebration. Students created artwork and posters to decorate the Upper School, and participated in several New Year traditions - singing songs in class, enjoying sweets and snacks, and receiving “red envelopes” from our Chinese teacher, Dr. Caroline Lee-Thompson.
On January 9, nine PT students participated in the Indianapolis Chinese Community Center Inc.’s Indy New Year Gala at Noblesville High School. Chinese I students Marissa Benge, Quincy Katz, Hudson Messer and Lizzy Miller; Chinese II students Emma Cline, Sophie Driscoll, and Lauren Lo; and Chinese III students Brayden Armantrout and Amanda Longe performed a song (“Sorry, My Chinese Is Not Good”) and recited Chinese lucky phrases and wishes that contained the character of “rabbit” (兔).
