The Season for Giving: Holiday Drives

Holiday Drives 2018:

November 7-20
  • Lower School - 300 cans of fruit cocktail
  • Middle School - 300 cans of green beans
  • Upper School - 300 boxes of pancake mix
  • Faculty/Staff - toiletries

As we enter the time of year in which we focus on that we are thankful for, students and faculty are living this focus. Beginning November 7 and ending on November 20, students and faculty have been challenged to help our neighbors in need.

Once again, students in all three divisions are donating food items that will be included in the holiday baskets prepared by Westminster Neighborhood Services. With a goal of 300 per division, students in the Lower School will provide fruit cocktail, Middle School students will donate green beans, and our Upper School students will contribute pancake mix. These donations allow Westminster to assist families both with food for a holiday meal as well as two weeks worth of dinners.

Renewing our partnership with our neighbors at Spring Mill Elementary School has resulted in us coming alongside their families in need as well. With many of Spring Mill’s students living at or below the poverty line, Park Tudor faculty members have been challenged to provide toiletries that can be given to Spring Mill families. As educators we realize the importance of modeling behavior for our students, and this drive provides faculty the opportunity to do so in real time.

If you have any questions about these drives, please contact Amy Kerr, Director of Community Engaged Learning. Please join us as we strive to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors in the community.
