Students in the News (3/23/23)

* Senior Hannah Loewen's work has been published in PATTERN's digital magazine. She was the fashion stylist for an editorial, for which she researched & sourced clothing/accessories from fashion designers & planned the outfits for the models. Here is the link to the feature.

* On Thursday, March 16, senior Aidan Klineman was named the winner of the Good Citizen DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Writing Contest. The contest is open to students in public, private, and parochial schools, and registered home study programs. Aidan’s award-winning essay was judged in competition amongst numerous students who fall under the umbrella of the Jonathan Jennings Indianapolis Chapter. Essays are judged for historical accuracy and adherence to the topic, in addition to their persuasiveness. The Focus question Aidan grappled with this year was “How will the essential actions of a good citizen (dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism) meet the challenges that America faces in this decade?” The Jonathan Jennings Chapter DAR Award Luncheon for Aidan and the other finalists was hosted by the Woodstock Club. Park Tudor support for Aidan at the luncheon included Aidan’s parents, Cristina and Andy Klineman; as well as Interim Head of School, Dennis Bisgaard; Associate Head of School, Shants Hart; Upper School Director, Sarah Webster; and Upper School History Teachers Matt McGrath and Joe Fumusa. Aidan will now advance to the state finals to be held on May 21.

* A group of Park Tudor students and families attended a performance of Les Miserables on Thursday, March 16 with the Fine Arts Department.
