* Junior Lara Rahman was recently awarded the Bronze Congressional Award. The United States Congress established The Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, service, and achievement in young people. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.

* Junior Hanna Warren contributed the artwork for Upper School Spanish Teacher Bill Langley’s new book, ¡No toques las obras de arte! (Spanish Edition). The book is designed for students in their first or second year of learning Spanish, and is now available on amazon.com.

* Hilbert Center/Lower School Music Teacher Jennifer Nie will be performing with the chorus of Indianapolis Opera on Saturday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the 5th annual Opera in the Park performance at MacAllister Amphitheater in Garfield Park. While there is no cost to attend, you must reserve tickets in advance via the indyopera.org website.
