* Junior Benjamin Murray won a silver medal in tennis at the 2025 JCC Maccabi games in Tucson, AZ July 27-August 1. Over 1,000 Jewish teens from around the world, including North America, Europe, and Israel, gathered to compete in an Olympic style format and complete community service projects. In addition to the silver medal, Benjamin was also awarded a sportsmanship medal in tennis.
* Eighth-grader Jada Jones proudly claimed the title of Jr. Teen Division Winner at the prestigious National American Miss (NAM) pageant held over Labor Day weekend at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Competing in the Jr. Teen category for ages 13–15, Jada stood out as the youngest contestant at 13 years old. Jada excelled in the required competitions—personal introduction, interview, and formal wear—earning her the crown. In addition to her pageant achievements, Jada was recognized as the overall winner for her résumé entry and honored in the academic achievement category. As the newly crowned Miss Indiana Jr. Teen 2025–2026, Jada will represent her state at the National American Miss National Pageant in Orlando, Florida, during Thanksgiving Break, where she will compete for the national title.
* Upper School Ceramics Teacher David Pritchard and junior Izzy Srivatana were selected to participate in a juried exhibition from Wednesday, September 17, to Sunday, October 5, at Ball State University in the Ned and Gloria Griner Art Gallery. The Indiana High School Teacher/Student juried exhibition, a celebrated and significant event in the state’s arts community, shines a spotlight on the achievements of high school teachers working in clay and their talented students. Held in conjunction with the 4th Biennial Indiana Clay Conference on October 4-5, 2025, and hosted by Ball State University in partnership with Purdue University Fort Wayne, this prestigious exhibition is a testament to the vibrant creativity in Indiana schools. Judy Wojcik, Associate Professor of Art at Earlham College, Richmond, will serve as the exhibition's distinguished juror.
