Student Groups Present During Advisory

Students heard multiple cultural presentations on Wednesday, March 18, during Advisory.
The Christian Student Union spoke about Easter and shared important traditions and history behind the holiday. Student presenters included Lila Cleary, Landon Guerra, Eadie Cate Mann, and Anya Wilburn.

The Indian-Pakistani Student Union shared information about Holi, as well as a vibrant display of colors from their confetti cannons! Student presenters included Sasha Bath and Khushi Shah.

The Muslim Student Union discussed Eid al-Fitr and explained different customs and traditions from countries around the world. Student presenters included Tarik Abou-Rayan, Alaia Ahmad, Humza Niazi, Lujayne Rimawi, and Hala Urabi.

As Student to Student ambassadors, senior Isaac Rothbaum and sophomore Mason Bohm gave a presentation to Middle School students and faculty on Jewish history, culture, and traditions. Student to Student is a leadership program of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) that grants Jewish students opportunities to give presentations about Judaism to their peers, fostering understanding and countering stereotypes.
