Girls Golf: The girls golf team competed in IHSAA sectional #15 at Maple Creek Golf Course this past Monday. The girls missed advancing to the regional as a team by one place, finishing fourth overall. Sophomore Sia Patel and junior Audrey Wang placed in the top three of non-advancing teams, so they both will be advancing to the IHSAA regional, which will be held this Saturday (9/26), 9:00 a.m., at The Edge Golf Course in Anderson. Congratulations to the entire girls golf team on an outstanding season and best of luck to both Sia and Audrey at the IHSAA regional on Saturday.
 
Volleyball: The girls volleyball team is currently 14-3 and will host the Golden Eagles from Guerin Catholic tonight at The Academy Volleyball Club. The team will travel to Shortridge High School this Saturday to compete in the PAAC Conference Tournament, which is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. They will then begin Marion County Tournament play next Wednesday (9/30) at Speedway High School vs. the Sparkplugs at 7:00 p.m. The team only has a few regular season games remaining, and are preparing for IHSAA tournament play. The IHSAA tournament draw will be held on Sunday, 10/4.
 
Cross Country: On Saturday, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Riverview Health Invitational at Northview Christian Church in Carmel. The boys team placed 13th overall, led by Spencer Hughes, Jack Button, and Alec Voelkel. The girls team placed 10th overall, led by Sophia Kennedy and Gretchen Farley. Sophia placed 2nd overall, setting a new school record of 17:41, and Gretchen placed 8th, tying the previous school record of 18:09. Both teams will be back at Northview Christian Church this Saturday for the PAAC Conference Championships. The girls will race at 9:00 a.m. and the boys will follow at 9:45. The team will compete in the Marion County Championships on Saturday, 10/3 at Brebeuf Jesuit before turning their attention to the IHSAA sectional on Saturday, 10/10.
 
Boys Soccer: The boys soccer team is currently 7-4-1 and ranked #3 in class 1A. The team will travel to Chatard this evening and will then begin Marion County Tournament play next Monday, 9/28 at Roncalli vs. the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. The IHSAA Tournament draw will be held this Sunday, 9/27 and sectional play will begin on Wednesday, 10/7 at Heritage Christian.
 
Girls Soccer: The girls soccer team is currently 11-1 for the season and ranked #1 in class 1A. The team will be in action tonight, hosting the Hornets from Beech Grove. This will be a varsity-only contest and will start at 5:30 p.m. They will play their last regular season game this Saturday, 9/26, hosting the Owls from Muncie Burris at 10:00 a.m. The team will begin Marion County Tournament play next Monday, 9/28 at Roncalli vs. the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. The IHSAA Tournament draw will be held this Sunday, 9/27, and sectional play will begin on Thursday, 10/8 at Park Tudor.
 
Football: The football team racked up another win last Friday evening, hosting the Tiger Cubs from Greencastle High School. In a game to be remembered for quite some time, the squad was able to overcome a 28-6 fourth quarter deficit to pull out the victory by the score of 29-28. The team is now 3-0 on the season and this is the first 3-0 start for the program since 2000. The team will be hosting the Twisters from Oldenburg Academy this Friday at 7:00 p.m. Next week is Homecoming for the Panthers and the team will be taking on Phalen Academy at 7:00 p.m.

Boys Tennis: The boys tennis team began Marion County Tournament play on Monday at Perry Meridian High School, defeating the Falcons 3-2, and advanced to the second round at Lawrence Central on Tuesday vs. the Bears. The Panthers earned another win, which allowed them to advance to the semi-finals, hosting the Panthers from North Central last night. Unfortunately, the PT Panthers fell short, losing to North Central 3-2. The team will wrap up their regular season Monday, hosting the Royals from Hamilton Southeastern at 5:00 p.m. The IHSAA Tournament draw will be held Monday (9/28) with sectional play beginning at Park Tudor on Wednesday (9/30).
