Track and Field: The track and field team participated in an indoor meet at Anderson University on Saturday. There were 30 schools at this meet; here were our top finishes:

  • Sophia Kennedy – 1st in the 3200
  • Gretchen Farley – 2nd in the 3200
  • Kate Weigand – 2nd in Pole Vault
  • DJ Gordon, Jasiah Rogers, Hayden Souza, Donovan Pitts – 3rd in the 4x200; new school record
  • Simone Hall, Isabella Wilburn, Sophia Kennedy, Gretchen Farley – 4th in the 4x400
  • Jasiah Rogers – 6th in Long Jump

The team participates in the Indoor State Meet this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Indiana University. Online tickets and meet details can be found here.

Girls Lacrosse: The Panthers opened their season against defending 1A State Champions Heritage Christian, losing 15-5 but gaining lots of playing minutes for the young team. On March 16 the team traveled to Warren Central; the JV won 6-1 and were led by Alex Hoskins with 3 goals and Jasmine Forrestal in the goal for her first game. The varsity won 15-2 with Lauren Richer having 5 goals and 2 ground balls, Hadley Murphy with 5 goals, 2 assists and 2 GB and Ellie Hunter with 8 draw controls. On Monday the team traveled to North Central; the PT Panthers came out on top 12-2. Mary Jane Furqueron had 2 assists and 6 ground balls and Hadley Murphy tallied 7 goals, 2 assists and 3 ground balls. The Panthers travel to Brebeuf today for their last game before spring break. Be sure to join us on for the home opener vs Lawrence North on Tuesday, April 11 at 6:00 p.m.

Boys Lacrosse: Boys lacrosse opened the season with a 12-1 victory over Indianapolis East Side last Wednesday. Jack Sturman led the team with 7 goals and 2 assists and was awarded the game ball. The team then traveled to Westfield on Friday, falling 17-7. Charlie Perine scored two goals and scooped up 6 ground balls, earning him the game ball. The team finished up its pre-spring break slate last night at Noblesville. They will be back for their annual “Competition Week” during the first week of April before heading to Louisville for this year’s team trip.

Softball: The varsity softball team hosted their first home game of the season on Tuesday vs. Horizon Christian School. With Horizon leading 2-0 in the 3rd inning, the Panthers fought their way back to victory, winning the game 7-2. The Panthers will be on the road for their next three games, playing at Shortridge on April 11 at 5:30, Traders Point on April 12 at 5:30, and Providence Cristo Rey on April 14 at 5:30. They'll be back at home on Monday, April 17 at 5:00 p.m. against Riverside High School.
