Track and Field: The girls track and field team had a great showing at the Indoor State Meet on March 29.

  • Emma Warner: 4th place in the high jump, achieving a jump of 5'2". This tied her season-best height.
  • 4 x 800 relay (Lauren Lo, Olivia Bryant, Leyla Smiley, and Kylie Ritz): won their heat and ran a season-best time by 23 seconds. The team placed 9th overall, with ALL four girls running their fastest split times of the season.
  • 4 x 200 relay (Sasha Davis, Leyla Smiley, Sydney Squires, and Maren Smith): finished third in their heat and ran a season-best time by 1.5 seconds. ALL four girls ran their fastest split times of the season.
  • Distance medley relay (Kylie Ritz, Maren Smith, Olivia Bryant, and Lauren Lo): placed third place in their heat, running a season-best time by 31 seconds. Lauren Lo ran a season-best time in her 1600-meter leg.

Thank you to Hasini Ambaty, our 4 x 800 and DMR alternate, for her support and commitment to her teammates. She was prepared and ready to compete if needed.

Boys Lacrosse: The boys lacrosse team went into spring break with a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Fishers on March 27. Ethan Cline (2G) and Charlie Held (1G, 1A) led the team with two points each. Cline also picked up a team-high 6 ground balls. Defenseman Aden Hawkins was named the player of the game.

The team traveled to western Michigan over spring break, scoring a 10-3 victory over Kalamazoo United and then attending Hope College's game against Adrian after a day of team competitions, including mini golf and paintball. In the Kalamazoo game, Turner Schaming (3G) and Charlie Held (3G) set the scoring pace. Schaming also led the team with 8 ground balls. Adam Wilkerson and Lucas Deatherage combined to allow only 3 goals. Longstick midfielder Paddy Flanagan was awarded the game ball by his teammates. The team travels to Valparaiso on Friday night, and then to Lawrence North next Wednesday.

Softball: The softball team took care of business in their season opener on Tuesday. Pitchers Elaiyah Winters and Layla Trammel stepped up to hand the Shortridge Blue Devils a 30-9 loss and the Panthers their first win of the season, and first conference win. 

The team will host their first home game against Horizon Christian School on Monday at 5:00 p.m.

Girls Tennis: The girls tennis team braved chilly and windy weather to defeat Heritage Christian on Tuesday. Results:

Varsity: Won 5-0

  • 1.Singles: Shreya Mallela won 6-1, 6-1
  • 2.Singles: Baila Rahman won 6-4, 6-2
  • 3.Singles: Sophie Driscoll won 6-1, 6-1
  • 1.Doubles: Marissa Benge/Emelyn Harris won 6-0, 6-0
  • 2.Doubles: Annamaria Ebersole/Simona Ciaccia won 6-0, 6-0

JV: Won 6-0

  • 1.Singles: Anna Kleiman won 8-4
  • 1.Doubles: Quincy Katz/Khushi Shah won 8-1
  • 2.Doubles: Kaitlyn Nagy/Sophie Schmidt won 6-1
  • 3.Doubles: Riya Rink/Elainah Somers won 8-0
  • 4.Doubles: Nour Ghoneim/Siri Vuppalanchi won 8-2
  • 5.Doubles: Krishna Una/Addie Welsch won 6-0
