Swimming: The swim team was in action last Saturday at Beech Grove High School to compete against the Hornets in a dual meet. Meet highlights are listed below. The team will be in action again this weekend competing in the Marion County swim meet at Pike High School. The girls are scheduled to swim Friday (12/18) at 6:00 p.m. and the boys on Saturday (12/19) at 1:30 p.m. Spectators are not allowed to attend the meet; however, Pike High School is working on providing a free livestream for the event. More information will be provided later this week.

Girls Basketball: The girls basketball team traveled to Greenwood Christian Academy Tuesday evening to take on the Cougars in a PAAC conference matchup. The Panthers were led by sophomore Layla Gold, who scored 37 points; however, the team fell short in a hard-fought game by the score of 67-62. The team is now 4-2 for the season. They will travel to Beech Grove on Saturday to take on the Hornets in both a JV and varsity contest. The JV is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by the varsity at 12:30 p.m.
Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team opened their season last Friday evening as at Beech Grove to take on the Hornets. The team was led by sophomore Jermaine Coleman (13 points) and senior Malachi Archey (10 points) in scoring. In a tight contest the entire game, the Panthers ended up falling short and were defeated by the score of 50-44. The team will hit the hardwood again this Saturday at West Lafayette High School vs. the Red Devils. The JV is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by the varsity at 6:30 p.m.
