Swimming: The swim team traveled to Clinton Central High School this past Saturday to compete in the Bulldog Invitational. Results from the meet are below and the team is now gearing up for the Marion County Swim Meet, which will take place next week. The Marion County meet will begin next Friday, December 20 at the IUPUI Natatorium at 6:00 p.m. The meet will continue on Saturday, December 21 at the Natatorium, starting at 1:30 p.m. Come out and support the Panther swim team as they compete in the county meet!
Bulldog Invitational Meet Highlights
Sophia Ling -50 freestyle- 2nd
Henry Eriksen -50 freestyle- 3rd
Holly Rogers -100 freestyle- 3rd
Sophia Ling -100 backstroke- 2nd
Girls Basketball: The girls basketball team is currently 6-3 for the season and earned a big win last Friday evening vs. the Crusaders from Scecina Memorial, 39-33. The team will be back in action tomorrow evening at home vs. the Bears from Lawrence Central High School in a varsity-only contest at 6:00 p.m. The team will not play again until next Saturday, December 21 at Beech Grove vs. the Hornets. The JV is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. and the varsity will follow at 12:30 p.m.
Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team is currently 3-1 for the season and ranked #5 in the state in 2A. The Panthers defeated the Crusaders from Scecina Memorial last Friday, 68-48, and then took the court on Tuesday and earned an impressive win against the Eagles from Heritage Christian, 71-38. The team will be in action again tomorrow at Beech Grove High School vs. the Hornets. The JV is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the varsity at 7:30 p.m.
