Girls Golf: The girls golf team competed in the IHSAA Sectional last week at Maple Creek and they finished 3rd out of 11 teams, shooting a 419. The team placed high enough to advance to the IHSAA Regional, which was played at Edgewood Golf Course on Saturday. The team shot a 387 at the Regional, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to advance to the state finals. Congratulations to the girls golf team on an outstanding season and advancing to the IHSAA Regional!
Girls Volleyball: The girls volleyball team competed in the PAAC Conference Tournament on Saturday at Park Tudor. The team defeated Liberty Christian and University High School in the first two rounds to advance to the championship. Unfortunately, the team was defeated in the championship match by Herron High School. The team will be competing in the Marion County Tournament this week and will host Central Christian Academy next Tuesday, October 7, for Senior Night beginning at 5:30 p.m. The IHSAA tournament draw will also be held this Sunday, October 5, at 7:00 p.m. on IHSAAtv.org.
Boys Tennis: The boys began play this week in the IHSAA Sectional here at Park Tudor. On Tuesday, the team faced off against the International School and won 4-1. They then advanced to the Sectional Championship on Wednesday, hosting the Braves from Brebeuf Jesuit; unfortunately, they lost 5-0. Congrats, Panthers, on a successful season!
Boys Soccer: The boys soccer team wrapped up regular season play on Tuesday as they hosted the Braves from Brebeuf. The game concluded in a 1-1 tie and the team is now preparing for the IHSAA Sectional, which will be held at Guerin Catholic High School next week. On Monday, October 6, the boys will take on the Bruins from Tri-West High School at 5:30 p.m. If victorious, the team will play on Wednesday, October 8, at 5:30 p.m. and will face either Hamilton Heights or Heritage Christian. The championship game is set for Saturday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for each game are $8.95 and can be purchased at the following links. An entire Sectional ticket can also be purchased for $21.65.
Cross Country: Congratulations to both the boys and girls cross country teams as they both placed 2nd at the PAAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday at IU East. The team will now head to Terre Haute tomorrow evening for their last race of the regular season - the Nike XC Town Twilight at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The IHSAA Sectional is only two weeks away; it will be held at North Central High School on Saturday, October 18.
Football: The football team only has three regular season games remaining and they will host the Warriors tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. for their last regularly scheduled home game for the season. The team will go on the road next week (10/10) to Sullivan High School and will then take on Purdue Polytechnic for their final game of the regular season at Howe High School on 10/17. The IHSAA tournament draw will be held on Sunday, October 12, and can be viewed on IHSAAtv.org.
Girls Soccer: Congratulations to the girls soccer team as they were crowned Marion County Tournament champions, defeating the Braves from Brebeuf on Saturday 2-1. The team will wrap up their regular season this evening, hosting the Wildcats from Lawrence North High School. The JV is scheduled to start at 5:30 with the varsity beginning at 7:00 p.m. This is also Senior Night, so please come out and support your girls soccer seniors. The girls will begin IHSAA Sectional play next Thursday, October 9 here at Park Tudor; they will take on the Huskies from Hamilton Heights at 5:00 p.m. If victorious, the team will then play for the Sectional Championship on Saturday, October 11, here at Park Tudor at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for each game are $8.95 and can be purchased at the following links.
