Volleyball: The volleyball team had their inaugural “Dig Pink” event on Monday to support the Side Out Foundation and breast cancer research and awareness. The team raised over $2,200 and more than doubled their goal for the worthwhile cause. The team will wrap up regular season play next Monday (10/14) at Pike High School vs. the Red Devils. The JV is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by the varsity. The team will begin sectional play on Thursday (10/17), traveling to Sheridan High School to take on the Eagles from Heritage Christian. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. If victorious, the team will advance and will play on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
 
Football: The football team will be hosting their final home game of the regular season tomorrow, hosting the Warriors from Covenant Christian High School. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. This is also senior night for our football players, cheerleaders, and cross country runners. Football players and cheerleaders will be honored prior to kickoff and our cross country runners will be honored at halftime. Please come out and support these seniors at the last home football game. The football team will then travel to North Decatur next Friday (10/18) to take on the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The football sectional draw will be held this Sunday (10/13) at 5:00 p.m. and can be streamed at www.IHSAAtv.org.
 
Boys Tennis: The boys tennis team season came to an end last Thursday with a 3-2 loss to Brebeuf in the Sectional championship. However, the number one doubles duo of Adam Katz and Eli Anderson remain undefeated in the IHSAA tournament and have advanced to the regionals. They will play this evening at Plainfield High School at 5:00 p.m. They will be taking on the number one doubles team from Plainfield. If victorious, the two will continue to advance in the state tournament.
 
Cross Country: The cross country team competed in the Marion County meet this past Saturday at Brebeuf Jesuit. The girls team placed 6th overall out of 16 teams, and the boys finished 14th. The team is now gearing up for the IHSAA sectional meet, which will be held on Saturday (10/12) at Brebeuf. Racing is expected to begin at 10:30 a.m. for the boys and 11:15 a.m. for the girls. The top 10 individuals from non-advancing teams and the first 5 qualifying teams from each Sectional will advance to the Noblesville Regional on Saturday, October 19.
 
Girls Soccer: The girls soccer team began Sectional play on Tuesday at Triton Central High School vs. the Lutheran Saints, winning by a score of 13-0. The team will play this evening at 5:00 p.m. at Triton Central vs. the Eagles from Heritage Christian. If victorious, the team will return to Triton Central on Saturday (10/12) evening to compete for the sectional championship at 7:00 p.m. vs. either Scecina Memorial or Triton Central.
 
Boys Soccer: The boys soccer team began Sectional play on Monday vs. the Eagles from Heritage Christian High School. The team came out strong and never let up, defeating the Eagles by a score of 8-1. The team then competed in the sectional semi-final match last night vs. ISI, defeating the Gryphons 14-0. The team will now face the Trailblazers from University High School in the sectional championship on Saturday (10/12), at Park Tudor. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
