Panthers Bring Home Glass at DECA Internationals
Park Tudor DECA ICDC April 2026

For the first time in six years, Park Tudor students claimed a coveted DECA glass trophy at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC).

When the results were announced at DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, Park Tudor seniors Kavya Devarapalli and Riti Tandra had done it — first place in the Hospitality Services Team Decision Making event, and with it, one of DECA's most coveted honors: a glass trophy.

The pair competed against top student business teams from across the nation, demonstrating the kind of real-world problem-solving, industry knowledge, and polished presentation that DECA's most prestigious events demand. Their first-place finish marks Park Tudor's return to the podium in this event for the first time since 2020—a milestone the entire school community can celebrate.

The duo wasn't the only source of Panther pride in Atlanta. Eli Fisch turned in a standout individual performance, finishing in the top 10 nationally in the Business Services Marketing Series event. In addition, junior Zainab Najam medaled in the top 10 of the Hospitality and Tourism tests.

A fourth achievement rounded out an impressive week: Derek Ai and Dominic Gasper qualified in the top 20 nationally in the Entrepreneurial Team Decision Making event, a high-stakes challenge that asks competitors to develop and pitch an entrepreneurial solution under real conference conditions.

The delegation of 14 students represented Park Tudor among a field of over 17,000 competitors from DECA chapters nationwide — an exceptional ratio of finalists to participants that speaks to the quality of preparation and coaching behind the scenes.

DECA's ICDC is considered one of the most competitive student business competitions in the world, drawing participants who have already proven themselves at district and state levels. Qualifying is an achievement in itself. Coming home with glass is something else entirely, an achievement that only 0.02% of DECA kids earn.

Congratulations to every Park Tudor student who competed in Atlanta. You made us proud.
