Panther Robotics Team Vicious Vortex Opens Season at Speedway Signature Event
On September 18-20, PT Robotics Team 6842V Vicious Vortex opened its 2026–27 robotics season at the Speedway Signature Event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Teams from across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom competed in the new Override game.
Team Vortex—Praneel Daliboyina, Jackson Harper, Mason Bohm, and Keshav Krishnan—finished qualifications with a 6–3 record, ranking 21st overall, and placed 30th in the Skills rankings. Along the way, the team took on some of the event’s strongest competition. Vortex scored 190 points in one qualification match while allied with 2393S Valor of Carmel and faced 3946E Enigma of Englewood, Colorado, in another qualification match. Enigma went on to win the tournament alongside 471B.
For senior Keshav Krishnan, the Speedway event was also a memorable milestone in his final year of high school. Keshav, Vicious Vortex’s coder, participated in the Senior Final Lap Ceremony on Saturday morning, joining other graduating seniors on the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The ceremony gave Keshav an opportunity to celebrate his senior year at one of the most iconic racing venues in the country while representing Panther Robotics.
Vortex came into Speedway on a high note after winning the Zionsville “Carb Day” pre-Speedway scrimmage on September 12. Their partner in the elimination rounds was Mechannibalism, a community team from Plymouth.
The team’s next competition will be the Great Planes Signature Event.
