Dr. Ying-Sin Chen’s Chinese V students had a hot pot in class! After learning about hot pot culture, our Chinese V students enjoyed a hot pot gathering. Hot Pot is like a “Chinese-style potluck." Everyone brought ingredients to cook in different soup bases and shared them as a class. In Chinese culture, hot pot is more than just a meal. It’s a symbol of warmth, family, and togetherness. Families and friends often gather around the steaming pot, chatting and laughing while enjoying delicious food. This activity gave our students a taste of both the flavors of authentic Chinese food and the meaning behind this beloved Chinese tradition.
