Students Honored for Achievements
Nick Conterno

* Senior Nick Conterno has been named a Scholar in the National Hispanic Recognition Program. This recognition is for students who scored in the top 2.5% among Hispanic and Latino PSAT/NMSQT test takers in our region.

* Senior Margherita Firenze (fourth from right) was recently recognized at a reception hosted by the Phi Beta Kappa Society's Alpha Association of Indiana as one of 20 regional winners of its annual book award for outstanding academic achievement through their junior year in high school. At the gathering, students received a certificate of commendation in addition to the book award that was presented in the spring. Phi Beta Kappa, founded in 1776 at the College of William and Mary, is the collegiate national academic honor society and is considered one of the most prestigious organizations of its type in the United States. The Alpha Association of Indiana seeks, through this ceremony, to recognize and reward scholastic excellence of students in pursuit of liberal arts education.

* Caroline Kittle competed in a National Level 3 Tennis Tournament this past weekend in Memphis,TN. She made it to the final four girls in the consolation part of the tournament.
