The Dance Department strives to foster a love and appreciation for the study of dance as an art form and as a physical discipline. Dance provides not only an outlet for artistic expression, but also a general posture and fitness benefit. Dance students gain self-esteem and self-discipline as a result of mastering a difficult art form.
Park Tudor's dance program offers a structured curriculum with a strong classical base. Dance students perform at fine arts assemblies and an annual spring recital, as well as festivals and community events.
A variety of after-school extracurricular opportunities are available for students in junior kindergarten through grade 12. The Lower School dance program provides instruction through dance classes and is often integrated into the curriculum. Middle School students may explore dance as an extracurricular activity. Upper School students may participate in dance classes for credit.
Every spring, Park Tudor dance students perform in a dance recital to showcase their work and talents. Dance students also perform at some school assemblies throughout the year.
