Beyond the Curriculum

Park Tudor offers private lessons in piano, voice, string instruments, guitar, and dance.

Students develop self-confidence and the skills of self-expression through oratorical events. Members volunteer their public speaking skills on campus as announcers, speakers, and emcees. In addition, students compete locally and nationally in Dramatic & Duo Interpretations, Impromptu, Original Oratory, Congress Debate, Extemporaneous Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, among many others. Park Tudor is a member of the National Forensic League and the Indiana High School Forensic Association.

The mission of the Arts trip to NYC is to provide students with an immersive experience in the arts, supplementing and enriching classroom learning by making real world connections. Students and faculty forge and strengthen bonds while exploring a world class city; experiencing a variety of hallmark arts institutions and venues which encourage new interests among students. Each year, the trip is designed to introduce new learning opportunities that are as important to classroom instruction as to the success of a student's growth. This travel experience is directly linked to the curriculum in Applied Music for students who participate in the Cabaret, and students who are enrolled in advanced level courses in the Arts.

Park Tudor students in grades 5-12 participate in the annual ISSMA solo and ensemble contest. Students perform piano, voice and instrumental solos and ensembles at the district and state levels of competition.

Middle School and Upper School students participate in the annual Scholastic Art and Writing competition. Students are adjudicated in a regional contest and may advance to the national contest.
