Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable

Park Tudor’s Business Office is currently seeking a Staff Accountant with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable. This is a full-time, twelve-month position responsible for performing weekly check processing, billing related to food services, reconciling/recording monthly purchasing card statements, and general ledger account reconciliations. This position is also the main contact for purchasing through Staples and Scrip. This professional reports directly to the Controller.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and record purchasing card charges and Staples charges on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and process accounts payable checks on a weekly basis
  • Reconcile the postage account and allocate all charges on a monthly basis
  • Create invoices for external usage of food services and record allocation of use by internal departments/groups
  • Coordinate Scrip purchases and record the income received and usage of the cards
  • Assist in monthly budget reporting and data entry of budgets in the accounting software
  • Prepare various account reconciliations at month end
  • Maintain file storage area and document retention
  • Restock and inventory general office supplies for the Business Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting is highly desired

Experience: Bookkeeping and general office management experience helpful. Experience in a non-profit, or specifically, in education would be beneficial.
