Park Tudor School Strategic Plan: PT 2015

There is no better time for planning than when a school is in a position of strength, and such is the case for Park Tudor School today. The school's identity as a coeducational JK through grade 12 day school is now 40 years old and is built upon a foundation of excellence that spans more than a century. Park Tudor enjoys a national reputation for its outstanding college preparatory program, extraordinary co-curricular offerings and commitment to service learning and character development. The school's success is built on a foundation that includes exceptional educators, a proactive board, sound financial management and a dedicated parent body.
This Strategic Management Plan began with a thorough survey of all Park Tudor constituents and a review of the accomplishments made under the current operating plan, PT 2010. The two-year planning effort involved board, faculty, parents and consultants. Community meetings ("town halls") were held as the plan took shape in order to garner as much input as possible. The timing of the plan is fortuitous in that in coincides with the school's re-accreditation process by the Independent Schools of the Central States (ISACS), as well as the transition to a new Head of School as the current Head retires after a successful nine-year tenure.
This strategic management plan puts forward goals that are clearly mission-based and attainable, yet flexible enough to include final recommendations from the ISACS Visiting Committee and the newly formed school administration. The major five-year goals presented here will be the framework for annual goals set and measured by the board, head of school, and all faculty and staff.
