Patriot Run/Walk for Grades 4 & 5

The tradition continues! Parents are welcome to participate, watch or assist with this 2-mile run for students in grades 4-5. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m.; traffic will be restricted in front of the Lower and Middle Schools during the run. Students are encouraged to wear their most patriotic attire!

Nancy Pearl is the former Executive Director of the Seattle Public Library's Washington Center for the Book, creator of the One City, One Book initiative in Seattle, author of the Book Lust series, and now teaches Readers' Advisory seminars around the country. She is a regular contributor to National Public Radio offering book reviews and recommendations, and was named Library Journal's 2011 Librarian of the Year.

This popular "Amazing Race" style team competition for PT students returns! Teams start and end in the same place using intelligence, wit and knowledge to complete activities, solve puzzles, and follow clues to 12 sites on campus. Everyone who participants enjoys free pizza and cookies, as well as raffle items and prizes for the winners!

Upper School vocal and instrumental groups will entertain with musical selections in the stunning Palladium in Carmel.

Panther Dash
Friday, April 28
6:00 p.m.
PT Track

All Hilbert Center and Lower School students are invited to participate in the annual Panther Dash, a half lap around the track (200 meters) for fun. No registration is required. Interested students should report to the 200 meter start line at 6:00. All participants will receive a ribbon! Food trucks from Der Pretzel Wagen and Flying Cupcake will be here.

Honoring Marya Jones '78 (alumna and PT parent), Sam Jones '79 and Michael Jones '82 (posthumously). Marya Jones is an Administrative Law Judge for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. She has enjoyed a successful career in the field of law and served as the Director of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee. Sam Jones has a successful career with Merck and currently serves as the National Director of Corporate Accounts. Before Michael Jones's untimely death on July 26, 2016, he served as a Pastor, community leader, author, musician and host of Community Connection, a daily talk show on AM radio. The siblings are the children of the late Sam H. Jones, the first president of the Indianapolis Urban League.
