Panther Robotics competes at Jay Noblesville Classic

On the first weekend of November, Panther Robotics had 5 teams competing against 41 other middle and high school teams from around the state at the Jay Noblesville Classic.

  • Team 6842Z "PigPen" (Zach Phelps, Humza Raza, Catherine Niculescu, Edward Hu) dominated again, going 7-0 in the Qualifying Round and entering the Elimination Round as the #1 seed. Joining them was Team 6842B "The Borg" (Thomas Allen, Aakrit Mehrotra, Alex Ward, Jathan Pai) and their friends from The Flux Capacitors. Ultimately, they were crowned Tournament Champions.
  • Team 6842V "Viper" (Christian Patrick) had an exciting day also finishing 7-0 in the qualifying round and entered the elimination round as the #2 seed. He finished in a very respectable third place. In fact, this was his very first VEX competition.
  • Team 6842C "Cobra Kai" (Alexander Boeckmann, Tucker Hoskins, Daniel de Dios, Sragvee Atluri) went 5-2 and finished in the #8 spot. They were selected to the #6 alliance and made it to the quarterfinals. For a new team, they are quickly making a name for themselves as fierce competitors.
  • PigPen also won the Driving and Programming Skills Championship.

Next up is a competition at Shortridge High School.
