Middle School Shows "Love" to Westminster Neighborhood Services
Middle School Shows "Love" to Westminster Neighborhood Services

Park Tudor has forged a growing partnership with Westminster Neighborhood Services that crosses all divisions and includes important experiences for our students. For example, fourth graders visited Westminster twice a month this year to do service, and Upper School photography students created portraits of the organization's clients, volunteers and staff as part of the "Faces of Westminster" service learning project.

Over the last week, Middle School students joined together to raise funds for a "Love" picnic table to be donated to Westminster's youth center for its summer and afterschool programs. By donating money, students are also able to wear sweats or athletic shorts to school this week. On Monday, the 8th grade class (designers of the fundraiser) met their goal of $375 for the table and received a matching "Love" picnic table for Park Tudor - a generous gift from Lower School parent Julie Moorehead and her family. The "Love" tables were painted by Indy artist Chris Blice and our MS students. Many thanks to the Moorehead family and Blice Edwards, Inc.
