We are just under two months away from the start of the Innovators Institute and Junior Innovators Institute, and exciting things are happening!
$1250 in seed money up for grabs during the Innovators Institute
The Innovators Institute is an immersive experience for students entering grades 9-12, designed to introduce creative young minds to the world of the business or social entrepreneurship. Students learn from experienced business leaders and find out first hand what it takes to turn an idea into reality. Field trips and business challenges all help them prepare for the pitch competition that could win them time with a business mentor and seed money. This year, we are pleased to announce that PT alum Andy Schenck '97, president of Indianapolis-based freight brokerage company Spot, has pledged $1250 in seed money to help the pitch competition winner start their business!
There are two options available for the Innovators Institute. Students can opt for the one-week Innovators Boot Camp, July 10-14, where they will receive a "crash course" in innovative mindsets and learn from some of the area's top entrepreneurs. The full Innovators Institute runs for three weeks from July 10-28, and includes the Boot Camp week along with the opportunity to develop a business or non-profit idea and participate in the pitch competition for the $1250 seed money prize. Students will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor from the business or non-profit community.

Bring a friend for free to the Junior Innovators Institute
The Junior Innovators Institute offers week-long summer programs for students entering grades 6-8, who love to experiment with technology, build things, and imagine what's possible. Students can register for one, two or all three weeks.
This summer, members of the PT community who sign up for a week of the Junior Innovators Institute can bring a friend with them for free!
