"Anything Goes" Sails Into Ayres Auditorium

Park Tudor Upper School will present the musical "Anything Goes" March 10-12, and tickets are now on sale! The popular Dinner Theater event will once again be held prior to the March 10 performance; tickets are available here.

Featuring unforgettable music by Cole Porter, the story centers on madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The musical introduced such songs as "Anything Goes," "You're the Top," and "I Get a Kick Out of You."

Since its 1934 debut at the Alvin Theatre (now known as the Neil Simon Theatre) on Broadway, the musical has been revived several times in the United States and Britain and has been filmed twice. The musical has long been a popular choice for school and community productions. In fact, this is the third time that Park Tudor students have staged the musical; it was previously performed here in 1986 and 2009.

Dinner Theater Seeking Donations

The popular Dinner Theater event to benefit the Fine Arts Guild will be held prior to the March 10 performance, and will include a cocktail party with food stations, plenty of sit down seating, and silent and live auctions. Attendees will also be entertained by our Middle School students performing a piece from their upcoming musical, "The Lion King, Jr." and a special surprise performance by some of our Lower School students.

The Fine Arts Guild is seeking donations for the auction. Your contribution will help support Park Tudor's Fine Arts programs from Junior Kindergarten through Upper School, our amazing theater and concert productions, as well as our "Shine a Spotlight" initiative for new LED lights in Ayres Auditorium. All contributions will be noted in our "Anything Goes" program and online. Print a donation form, or visit the SignUp Genius link to contribute a donation. Checks should be made out to Park Tudor Fine Arts Guild and all donations should be submitted by Friday, February 24.
