Twenty-one seniors and one junior have been selected to attend THIMUN 2017, the international Model UN conference held each year at The Hague, Netherlands. This year's conference will take place from Friday, January 27 through Saturday, February 4, 2017. Accompanying faculty are Gracie Krouse, Cory Scott and Peter Smith.
Again this year, Park Tudor received favorable allocation of an economic social council nation, based upon our good reputation earned by previous PT students in that environment. Elizabeth Niculescu, Model UN club president, has been selected by special appointment to serve as a judge for the week on the International Court of Justice simulation. This is a global group of 26 students. Kendall Garner has been selected by special appointment to serve as an advisor for the Arab League for the week on the Advisory Panel considering the Question of the Near East simulation. This is also a global group of 26 students. Finally, Alyce Hammer has been selected by special appointment to serve as a conference photographer for the week on the press corps, capturing the daily action of 4000 delegates from 100 nations in five daily news publications the press corps will produce and sell. This is also a global group of 26 students.
