We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Never Too Late, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization dedicated to granting wishes to senior citizens, especially veterans over 65 years of age. Never Too Late is known for its involvement within the community, which is why our dedicated and talented students are eager to contribute toward their mission.
One of Never Too Late’s most important goals is to bridge the generational gap between the young and the old. To that end, the “Generations Honoring the Greatest Generations” project was developed in hopes of establishing a valuable learning relationship between these members of the community. Thus, the Legacy Initiative students will not only conduct interviews but also submit the greatest wishes of eligible veterans to Never Too Late for consideration. In addition to granting wishes, the “Generations Honoring Greatest Generations” project celebrated and honored veterans at the May 11, 2009 book-signing event for Volume IV of the Words of War anthology.
