Prospective Students
What do Park Tudor students really think about our school? Our Student Ambassadors respond to questions they hear most frequently from middle and high school students who are considering Park Tudor.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Park Tudor?
A: Shannon, Class of 2011: I love how small it is. You know just about everybody at the school, and it feels really good to be able to do that.
Katie, Class of 2014: My favorite thing about Park Tudor is the fact that there is something for everyone. Whatever it is that you like, there is a club or class or team for it.
Q: Why did you choose Park Tudor?
A: Shannon: One day I made a list of all the schools that I was considering. I made a list of the things that I liked about the school and things I didn’t like. When I got to Park Tudor, I couldn’t think of one thing to put in the "Didn’t Like" category.
Katie: My mom chose Park Tudor because of the small class sizes.
Q: Is the school really hard?
A: Shannon: The school is difficult, but not hard. There is definitely a push in homework. You must keep up, and there is no slacking off, but I don’t think that there is anything hard about it.
Katie: Park Tudor is hard enough that you can’t breeze right through it, but not so hard that you’re totally lost.
Q: What are the teachers like?
A: Shannon: The teachers are the best part about the school. When you need help they are always there for you. There’s never been a time where I’ve asked for help and they didn’t immediately help me or schedule the soonest possible time for me to come in and get help.
Katie: The teachers are tough but understanding.
Q: Is everyone only focused on academics, or is there time for fun, too?
A: Shannon: Oh, no, academics aren’t the only thing that we focus on. There is definitely a big athletics and arts interest at PT. The greatest thing is that at Park Tudor, you don’t have to automatically be skillful. Some kids that have great potential but aren’t just perfect at what they do might get cut at other schools, but PT helps bring out that potential and helps everyone improve.
Katie: At PT we take our academics very seriously, but we never forget to have fun.
Q: What are the sports like?
A: Shannon: They’re great. It’s nice to know that you can be in a sport that you are interested in, but never played before. It’s also nice to know that we have trainers and coaches that can work with us and help us improve.
