Financial Aid

Park Tudor Family At Park Tudor, we’re committed to expanding children’s understanding of the world and the opportunities they encounter. Through scholarships, payment plans and need-based financial aid, we work toward making a Park Tudor education feasible for deserving children throughout our area.

In response to the growing need for financial aid, Park Tudor extended the financial aid budget for the 2009-10 school year. Last year, Park Tudor awarded more than $2.8 million in financial aid to nearly 33 percent of our student population. The average amount of a financial aid award was $8,500.

A recent survey of public school parents revealed that 57 percent would enroll their child in a private school if they believed they could afford to do so. However, most families interested in a private education never investigate the opportunities. A number of financing options can make a private school education possible. Awards are made not only to families whose ability to pay is limited, but also to those of more substantial means who may need only a small subsidy to meet our tuition charges.

Asking about financial aid options will not hurt your child’s chances of admission to Park Tudor. Please call the Admissions office at (317) 415-2777 to explore your options.

To apply for financial aid, please visit the School and Student Service for Financial Aid and complete a PFS form.

Scholarships

Park Tudor awards more than 100 students in grades 9-12 almost $625,000 in academic scholarship funds. The sizes of the scholarships range from $500 to full tuition, with an average award of more than $6,000. Many students earning scholarships also receive financial aid.

Freshman Honor Scholarships – Each year Park Tudor awards a limited number of scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance. This scholarship covers 50 percent of a student’s tuition costs.

Park Tudor Honor Scholarships – Students entering the Upper School will be considered for this scholarship, which is a grant of $2,500.

Appleseed Academic Honor Awards – Twenty or more scholarships are awarded annually to students in grades 6-12 to increase the diversity of Park Tudor. The recipients of this award have up to 100 percent of their demonstrated financial need met and receive an additional stipend equal to 10 percent of their tuition. The Park Tudor Admissions Office reviews the academic and extracurricular strengths of each applicant and selects the recipients. The scholarship is renewable annually, as long as the recipient earns at least a B average, receives passing grades in all courses, maintains a good disciplinary record, and is involved in the life and activities of the school.

Named Scholarships – A number of scholarships have been established to recognize Park Tudor students who demonstrate excellent scholarship and make outstanding contributions to the school in academics, citizenship and extracurricular activities. Many, but not all, of these awards are given to students who demonstrate financial need. These scholarships range from $500 to full tuition. Most are renewable.
