Science

ScienceThe Park Tudor Science Department teaches students to "learn how to learn" by encouraging them to become self-directed inquirers.

Science, as a discipline, is a systematic method of gaining knowledge – especially facts concerning both the physical and natural world – that can be organized into basic principles and laws. Each student should be aware of this method of dealing with a body of facts or truths. The goal is to become familiar with what a scientist does, as well as what science is about.

It is expected that all students will leave Park Tudor School aware of their relationship to living things and to their environment, aware of the place of science and technology in society, and with the ability to think critically about controversial issues that will emerge during their lifetimes.
