Learning Project Services

The Learning Project serves families with students in preschool through high school. Students have a wide range of abilities, ranging from those who perform at an exceptional level to those who need assistance in understanding their learning style. The Learning Project can help any student strengthen their learning weaknesses.

The Learning Project provides the following services:

Assessment and Feedback

  • Individual psychoeducational assessment for current Park Tudor students on a referral basis, using a school neuropsychological approach to identifying students' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Learning-style and multiple-intelligence assessments for Park Tudor students.
  • Standardized testing data research, interpretation, and communication.
  • Identification of students' strengths and weaknesses through grade-level reviews
  • Communication of effective strategies, interventions, and/or accommodations.
  • Assistance in the identification and placement of students for curricular extension opportunities, including Middle School math-placement decisions.

Tutoring Services

  • Subject-matter tutoring for all grade levels
  • Tutoring for developing reading and math skills
  • Referrals for speech/language and occupational therapy as needed

Instruction

  • Small-group instruction on topics such as study skills, memory and learning strategies, reading comprehension strategies, test-anxiety management, and assistive technology

Assistive Technology

  • Using technology to help all students learn most effectively. Technology and software includes Kurzweil, Recordings For the Blind & Dyslexic, Challenging Our Minds, and Dragon.
