Mathematics
Park Tudor’s Mathematics Department provides a comprehensive, sequential program of study from beginning arithmetic through college-level mathematics.
Students gain a thorough understanding of the material at each level. Emphasis is placed on achieving mastery of skills and problem solving so that the topics may be applied outside the classroom as well as in future math courses.
Students possess a wide variety of math skills and the math department works at maximizing each student’s ability. Ample opportunity is provided for students to study in depth topics of particular interest and to connect the study of mathematics with other areas of learning.
Appropriate use of technology is emphasized. Students are asked to use technology when it will provide further understanding of the mathematics.
