

Webster, Sarah (2001) - Mathematics Department Chair; Upper School Mathematics

Mrs. Webster holds a B.S. degree with honors in secondary education
math from Ball State University. She joined Park Tudor after two years
as an algebra teacher at Northwest High School (IPS), where she
introduced the use of technology as an aid in the mathematics
classroom. At Northwest, she also was varsity tennis coach and
sophomore class sponsor, as well as cheerleading sponsor. She is a
member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Black, Joanne H. (1979) - Upper School Mathematics; Coordinator of Mathematics Competitions

Mrs. Black received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kansas, graduating with distinction and honors in mathematics. She also holds a M.S. degree in mathematics education from Butler University, and she has studied mathematics on the graduate level at Purdue University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Since joining the Park Tudor faculty, Mrs. Black has taught algebra I, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus I and linear algebra. She is a co-sponsor of the Brain Game team and coordinator of mathematics competitions for the Upper School. She served as chair of the mathematics department from 1994 through 2004.
Black, Thomas E., Jr. (1961) – Upper School Mathematics; Dean of Faculty

Mr. Black began his long career at Park Tudor teaching summer school at Park School and has taught math at the school ever since. He became chair of the Mathematics Department in 1962, was director of Summer School from 1963-1966, director of Admissions and Financial Aid from 1966-1968, served twice as assistant headmaster, 1968-1970 and 1990-1996, was director of studies from 1968-1970, Upper School director from 1970-1990, interim headmaster from 1986-1987, and Associate Headmaster from 1996-2005. At times throughout his tenure he has coached Middle School football, basketball, and baseball, varsity boys' golf and soccer, and varsity football, cross country, and track. He has served as a member of the Personnel Practices Committee since 1968 and has chaired it for several years. He was involved either as chair or co-chair of the ISACS Self-Studies completed in 1978, 1985 and 1992 and has served as Park Tudor's United Way Campaign Coordinator since 1989. Mr. Black holds an A.B. from Wabash College and a M.S. from Purdue University.
Carmody, Heather (2004) - 7th Grade Mathematics

Mrs. Carmody holds a B.S. in teaching of mathematics and a master's of education in special education with a concentration in cultural diversity from the University of Illinois. She is currently working toward a PhD in gifted education at Purdue University. She previously was a seventh grade mathematics teacher at Westlane Middle School in Indianapolis and taught seventh grade math and reading at Edison Middle School in Champaign, Illinois. She also has been a summer program teacher and administrator at Morgan Park Academy (her high school alma mater) in Chicago and taught art and children's literature in a summer program at Beverly Art Center in Chicago. Mrs. Carmody is a member of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers and the National Association for Gifted Children.
Chamberlin, Joseph (1999) - Upper School Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator; Upper School Mathematics

A graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. degree in mathematics,
Mr. Chamberlin also holds a master's degree in education from Indiana
University. He previously was a senior mathematics instructor at Culver
Academies and a mathematics instructor at Fernley High School in
Fernley, NV. He is a recipient of Culver's Spivey Award for excellence
in teaching. At Culver, he served as counselor of the school's winning
academic bowl team and as head varsity football coach, water ski
instructor and ski club sponsor. He is a member of the National Council
of Teachers of Mathematics and the Indiana Football Coaches
Association. He serves as Park Tudor’s varsity football assistant coach.
Forrestal, Lily (2005) – 8th Grade Math

Ms. Forrestal holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester and a M.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Washington. She previously was a math/science teacher at the InterActive Academy in Zionsville. She has also worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Washington and as a development engineer at Praxair Surface Technologies.
Kahre, Inga (2004) - Upper School Mathematics

Ms. Kahre holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education from Ball State University. She taught algebra and geometry at Speedway High School for two years and also taught summer school at Ben Davis High School.
Page, Thomas (1987) - Upper School Mathematics Teacher; Varsity Football Coach

Mr. Page holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Earlham College. Coaching has been one of his responsibilities since joining Park Tudor. In addition to coaching football and golf, he was an assistant wrestling coach from 1987 to 1991. He also served as dean of students in 1998 and as coordinator of student activities until 1999. He was the sponsor for SADD and the Varsity Club from 1987 to 1999.
Sturman, Emily - Upper School Mathematics

Mrs. Sturman teaches algebra II and calculus. In previous years she also has taught algebra I, geometry, and pre-calculus. She has served as a member of the Personnel Practices Committee and has been a faculty advisor for Student Council, Brain Game and the junior class. She is a board member and former president of the Park Tudor Alumni Association. Following her 1966 graduation from Tudor Hall, she received a B.S. in math with physics and education minors from Michigan State University and has taken additional coursework from Butler and Purdue Universities. She has served as a Culver Summer School counselor for four summers, has received master gardener certification, is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Board and the Junior League and volunteers as a deacon at Second Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Sturman's husband, two sons and daughter-in-law are graduates of Park School and Park Tudor.
Warner, Debra (1995) - Upper School Mathematics
Mrs. Warner holds a B.S. in mathematics (cum laude) and a M.A. degree in education from Purdue University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Mrs. Warner was an Upper School math teacher at Park Tudor from 1995-2004 and returned in 2007. From 1987-1995, she was an Upper School math teacher at La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, CA.
Weymuth, Donald (D.J.) (2003) - Middle School Mathematics

Mr. Weymuth holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in education from Northwest Missouri State University and has taken coursework in educational leadership at Johns Hopkins University. He served as instruction education coordinator for the Columbus Education Coalition in Columbus, IN, and taught fifth grade at Landon School in Bethesda, MD and Minnie Cline Elementary School in Savannah, MO. He also was the owner and director of Camp Expeditions, a summer travel camp in Bethesda.
