Visual Arts

Art class is a requirement for all sixth-grade students, but seventh- and eighth-grade students may choose art as an elective course.

Art is an essential tool for developing a student’s sense of identity, especially during the early adolescent years of Middle School. Students learn to appreciate art as a form of expression and creativity.

Student artwork is displayed throughout campus and around the city. Students are encouraged to participate in small-group lessons after school and classes at the Indianapolis Art Center and Herron School of Art and Design.
