Park Tudor Library Media Centers are an integral part of the schools academic program. As instructional media centers, they provide the materials necessary to support the complete learning process.
The varied curriculum of today's educational environment requires that both teachers and students have access to a wide assortment of materials including books, periodicals, and online research resources so necessary to stimulate learning. These materials, combined with a systematic scope and sequence for information literacy, enrich and complement classroom instruction, and provide for the individual interests and abilities of each student.
The Park Tudor Library Media Department is comprised of three media centers, one serving the Hilbert Early Education Center and Lower School, another serving the Middle School, and a third serving the Upper School. Each age-appropriate collection is designed to supplement the curriculum of the school served. The department includes four full-time library media specialists, the Audio Visual Coordinator and three support staff. The Upper School Library Media Specialist serves as the department coordinator.

Video Production
For students in grades 6-12, video production offers students a unique format for communication. Students may check out video or still digital cameras and other audio-visual equipment for projects. Training on digital editing software and equipment may be scheduled with library media staff. Students learn how to manipulate digital and still video, how to import audio for soundtracks and the ethical use of copyrighted information. Students are encouraged to compete in events such as National History Day, Media Fair and the Prelude Arts competition.
