The Dance Department strives to foster a love and appreciation for the study of dance as an art form and as a physical discipline. The study of dance has value not only as an outlet for artistic expression, but for its general posture and fitness benefit, and for the self-esteem and self-discipline that result from mastering a difficult art form.
Park Tudor’s dance program offers a structured curriculum with a strong classical base.
The Lower School dance program provides instruction through curricular dance classes and interdisciplinary dance projects. A variety of after-school extracurricular opportunities in dance are available for students in preschool through grade 12. Upper School students may participate in dance classes for credit.
Dancers perform at an annual spring recital and Fine Arts assemblies, as well as at festivals and community events.
